BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WCIA) — A woman was killed and another injured in a shooting that happened early Saturday morning in downtown. Police have a suspect in custody.

Michael Bakana, 45, of Normal, was arrested at the scene. Police say he faces preliminary charges of murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

The incident is believed to be isolated. Officers say the shooting happened after 12:45 am when Bakana and the two victims got into a dispute.

UPDATE: Homicide victim identified in Bloomington shooting

UPDATE (Jan. 30, 3 p.m.) — A victim in a shooting outside a Bloomington bar Saturday morning has been identified.

Mariah C. Petracca, 22, of Bloomington was identified by McLean County Coroner Dr. Kathleen Yoder. Petracca was pronounced deceased by the coroner’s office at 1:35 a.m. Saturday morning.

A preliminary autopsy indicated she died from multiple gunshot sounds. The toxicology report is pending.
