Suspect charged with capital murder in weekend slaying of Phenix City man

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) - A shooting that claimed the life of a Phenix City man over the weekend has landed another man behind bars.

37-year-old Jarvis Marcel Campbell is being charged in the shooting death of 34-year-old Johnathon Larson.

Larson was shot and killed just before 4:20 a.m. when officers were called to the 2000 block of 45th St. on Jan. 3.

Campbell is being charged with capital murder.
