Teen brothers accused of murdering woman during burglary attempt
Posted on Jan 10, 2020

LITHONIA, Ga. (CBS46) -- Police have two teen brothers in custody, accused in the death of a woman during a burglary attempt.

Just after 8 a.m. on Friday, a white female in her 60's was found fatally shot at her home in the 5400 block of Whittondale Road. At that time police did not have any suspects in custody.

By 8 p.m. that night, police had detained a 16 year-old from the home across the street from the victim. Police say evidence found inside that home implicated the teen to the homicide investigation.

On Sunday night, police then arrested the suspect's 15 year-old brother.

Both are charged with burglary and murder.
