Two charged for killing Imperial woman

CHASE COUNTY, Neb. - UPDATE:
Annika Swanson's body was found in a drainage pipe in southwest Nebraska Sunday. Chase County Court records show the two people arrested Saturday in Fort Collins, Colorado have been officially charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and other crimes.

According to court documents German and Carter are suspected of leaving 22-year-old Annika Swanson of Imperial in a drainage pipe in a Chase County pasture on November 14.

The records show Carter told investigators that German beat up Swanson and the two forced Swanson down into the pipe on November 14. Using Carter's information, authorities found and recovered Swanson's lightly clad body in the pipe on Sunday. Her father had reported her missing three days earlier.

24-year-old Kevin Scot German of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 22-year-old Keonna Nilsa Carter of Taylorsville, Utah, and 43-year-old Russell T. Mann of rural Enders, Nebraska are suspects in this case.

UPDATE:

The Attorney General's Office has released the name of the 22-year-old woman found in rural Chase County this past weekend.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Annika Swanson, of Imperial, Nebraska.

The autopsy report and court proceedings are pending. Autopsy results, charging decisions and court proceedings are pending.

24-year-old Kevin Scot German, 22-year-old Keonna Nilsa Carter and 43-year-old Russell T. Mann of rural Enders, Nebraska are suspects in this case. All three are in custody.

UPDATE, Nov. 25, 2019:
Two kidnapping cases in Chase County may reveal a murder near Imperial. An official with the Nebraska Attorney General's Office says they found the body of a young woman in rural Imperial on Sunday.

An autopsy Monday may reveal if it is the body of a missing 22-year-old woman. The official says they are waiting on the confirmation of her identity.

Two people were arrested in Fort Collins tied to this case after a weekend of searching for clues in Southwest Nebraska. . According to court records they were arrested on charges of Fugitive of Justice warrants for Murder - First Degree. Suspects are 24-year-old Kevin Scot German and 22-year-old Keonna Nilsa Carter.

The possible murder case came to light after another 22-year-old Imperial woman was reported kidnapped and found. 43-year-old Russell T. Mann of rural Enders is charged as an accessory to kidnapping in her case.
