Default WM, 54 shot to death North Little Rock, AR home invasion; 2 negros sought

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- A missing woman from North Little Rock has been located and is safe.

Further information about the motive for her abduction is pending.

North Little Rock Police say Susan Lee Smith was abducted during a home invasion in which a man was shot and killed Saturday night.

It happened in the 3500 block of East Washington.

The male victim has been identified as 54-year-old James Harold Griffin of North Little Rock.

Detectives believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.


NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - North Little Rock Police have released more information on the possible abduction victim. Susan Smith, 35, was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black leggings with a white skull pattern, and no shoes. Her hair will be shaven on both sides of her head with a brown mohawk style cut on top.

The vehicle Ms. Smith was placed into has been described as a newer model small black passenger car. The vehicle left the location traveling west bound on E. Broadway.

Update: NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - North Little Rock Police Department responded to the Keller Mobile Home Park in reference to a shooting and a possible abduction.

When officers arrived on scene they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The male victim was transported to a local hospital where he has succumbed to his injuries.

Officers were advised that two black male suspects forced entry to the location and shot the male victim. The two male suspects then forced an adult white female from the residence and placed her into a small newer model car and left the scene.

The reported missing person has been identified as 35-year-old Susan Lee Smith. Detectives with the North Little Rock Police Department are actively investigating this incident.
