Updated: November 20, 2015, 12:41 pm

JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV) — A Thursday night crime spree in Jackson and Ridgeland is possibly linked to one man, police said.

Jackson Police took 22-year-old Zebulum James into custody at an apartment complex on Rainey Road.

Here’s a breakdown of all the crimes that took place.

At 5:57 p.m., a woman was shot a the Shell gas station on Watkins Drive. Police said 48-year-old Suzanne Hogan was shot in the head. She died on the scene. Witnesses told police that the shooter had dreads and left the scene in a blue Ford Mustang. Hogan was from New York City.

In Ridgeland, a woman was shot in the stomach in the parking lot of Logan’s Restaurant on East County Line Road at 6:03 p.m. Ridgeland PD said 49-year-old Kristy Lynn Mitchell is a business woman from Excelsior Springs, Missouri. She was walking to Logan’s for dinner from a nearby hotel when she was shot.

Before she died, she was able to describe her shooter as a man with dreads driving a blue Ford Mustang. Mitchell died at the hospital.

Minutes after the Logan’s shooting, a pedestrian was next door hit in the parking lot of Drury Inn. The 59-year-old man suffered a broken leg. Witnesses there said a man in a blue Ford Mustang was speeding in the parking lot in front of the hotel.

Around 7:14 p.m, Jackson Police went to the Briarcliff South Apartments on Rainey Road after they received a call that a man matching the description from the earlier crimes was there. Police arrested James for murder. The blue Ford Mustang was recovered and taken to the crime lab.

Police also said James might be connected to three other crimes that happened in the same area.

JPD said a JATRAN bus was shot at around 5:49 p.m. in the 4300 block of Watkins Drive. At 5:50 p.m., someone shot at a house in that same block on Watkins Drive. JPD is also investigating a shooting where a vehicle was shot at on Watkins Drive near Hanging Moss Road. That incident happened around 6:02 p.m., police said.
