TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - UPDATE: News 4 has learned the name of the man believed to have played a role in the death of 49-year-old Renee Taschetta on Dumas Place in the Town of Tonawanda.

Taschetta was shot in the base of the neck with a shotgun, according to Erie County District Attorney John Flynn.

51-year-old Mario Turner Sr., has been arraigned in the Town of Tonawanda court.

Turner is charged with criminally negligent homicide and criminal possession of a weapon.

He's expected to return to court on Monday for a felony hearing and being held without bail at the Erie County Holding Center.

If he is convicted, he could spend a maximum of four years in prison.

Taschetta and Turner were a couple who had two adult children together.
