The Toronto Police would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in a Human Trafficking investigation.

It is alleged that:

- a man forced two women to work in the sex trade

- on multiple occasions, he sexually assaulted the women

- both women were trafficked in the Greater Toronto Area and throughout the provinces of Ontario and Quebec

- they were forced to abide by rules the man imposed on them and were made to turn over all of their earnings to him

- he used deception, false promises, intimidation and fear to exercise control over the actions and movements of the women

On Wednesday, November 28, 2018, investigators from the Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes -Human Trafficking Enforcement Team, with the assistance of members from the Service's Public Safety Response Team (PSRT), the Halton Regional Police Service, and the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement team, executed three Criminal Code search warrants in Toronto, Milton and Chamberlain Township, in Ontario.

As a result, Kalib James Rahi, 31, of Milton, was arrested and charged with:

1. Four counts of Sexual Assault
2. Two counts of Procuring to Provide Sexual Services
3. Two counts of Advertise Another Person Sexual Services
4. Two counts of Trafficking in Persons by Recruiting, Transporting, and Harbouring
5. Two counts of Exercise Control by Directing and Influencing Ones Movements
6. Two counts of Financial and Material Benefit Resulting from Trafficking in Persons
7. Two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance Schedule I
8. Use Imitation Firearm while Committing an Indictable Offence
9. Threatening Bodily Harm
10. Threatening Harm to an Animal
11. Extortion
12. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
