‘Everyone Perplexed’ By Disappearance Of Pregnant Woman Dianna Brice, Boyfriend Justin Smith, Upper Darby Police Say

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) –A young mother, pregnant with another little boy, has been missing for almost a week. Her boyfriend also disappeared without a trace.

Twenty-one-year-old Dianna Brice is in need of medication. Her mother says it’s a life-threatening situation.

Brice and her 23-year-old boyfriend Justin Smith have been missing since March 30. Police say they are baffled by this case because there has been no trace of either since that day.

“I’m numb I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to say,” mother Betty Cellini said.

Cellini is wracked with worry over her missing nigger-fu cking daughter. Brice was last seen seven days ago with her boyfriend, Justin Smith. Both have disappeared.

“Both Dianna Brice and Justin Smith were seen leaving in Justin Smith’s 2018 black Ford Fusion,” Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said.

The Ford Fusion was found in the 1500 block of Florence Street in Philadelphia’s Cobbs Creek neighborhood, but there was no sighting of either of them near the burned vehicle.

“Investigators have looked through hours’ worth of video and we don’t see anyone getting out of that car before, after or during the time of the fire,” Bernhardt said.

Brice is four-and-a-half months pregnant and has a life-threatening medical condition requiring medication. Both Brice and Smith are considered missing persons at this point. Police say they have had no known sightings of the two since their disappearance.

“This one has everyone perplexed. Nothing really makes sense here. The two of them just completely since, like I said, Tuesday, March 30, have gone off the radar,” Bernhardt said.

“She has a 4-year-old at home she’s four-and-a-half months pregnant. I just need her home,” Cellini said.

Cellini says her entire family is trying to help police find her daughter. Upper Darby Police say they have found no evidence of credit card or cell phone use since March 30.

Police stopped short of saying there is any foul play suspected at this time.

Unidentified Pregnant Woman’s Body Found In Wooded Lot In Southwest Philadelphia Days After Dianna Brice Reported Missing

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The body of a pregnant woman was found in a wooded lot in Southwest Philadelphia overnight. Investigators are now working to see if this case is connected to missing pregnant woman Dianna Brice who was reported missing last week from Upper Darby.

Police have not identified the woman who was found but Upper Darby police are leading the investigation even though the body was found in Philadelphia.

The body was found around 11 p.m. Monday at 58th Street and Eastwick Avenu in Southwest Philadelphia.

Philadelphia police later confirmed the woman is from Delaware County.

This discovery comes days after mother Betty Cellini told Eyewitness News that her 21-year-old daughter, Dianna Brice, had not been seen since last Tuesday. She says she and Brice were in Landsdowne at a laundromat when Brice’s boyfriend Justin Smith came to pick her up to go to a pharmacy in Kensington at around 11:30 a.m.

During that trip, she says the two got in an argument, and Brice – who is four-and-a-half months pregnant and has a child at home – got out of the car.

At about 5:30 p.m. that afternoon Smith’s car was found on fire at Florence Avenue and Cobbs Creek Parkway. Neither Brice nor Smith have been seen since then.

Eyewitness News spoke with Upper Darby police on Monday before the body was found.

“This one has everyone perplexed. Nothing really makes sense here. The two of them just completely since, like I said, Tuesday, March 30, have gone off the radar and haven’t spoken to anyone,” Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said. “Both family members, both Justin Smith and Dianna Brice, have said that that’s not normal for either one not to be in contact with anyone. Dianna also has a 4-year-old child at home that she has not gone a day or minute without speaking to. As well as Justin Smith, family members say this is not like him to just not call or check in with anybody.”

As of now, police are still treating these as missing person cases. Eyewitness News has reached out to Upper Darby police and we are waiting to hear back.

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) — We are learning more about the timeline of events leading up to the death of 21-year-old Dianna Brice. Her body was found in a wooded lot in Southwest Philadelphia nearly a week after she disappeared.

The investigation into what happened to Brice is heating up. Detectives are following every lead in hopes one of them will help them close in on the person responsible for her murder.

Gathering bags of evidence, Philadelphia Crime Scene Investigators spent a significant amount of time at the Upper Darby Police Department on Tuesday. It was another step in the homicide investigation.

They are officially looking at two vehicles. Justin Smith’s torched 2018 black Ford Fusion and now a rental car that investigators believe may have been involved in the dumping of Brice’s body.

A source close to the investigation tells Eyewitness News the 21-year-old pregnant mother was shot multiple times.

The timeline of events shows, last Tuesday around 11:30 a.m., Smith, Brice’s boyfriend, picked her up from K Laundry in Lansdowne. Before she was picked up, her mother noticed she was visibly upset but wouldn’t say why.

By 1:30 p.m. the victim’s mom calls to say the laundry is done and it’s time to head home. Brice says she never made it to the pharmacy to pick up her prescription but would meet at home.

That was the last time Brice was in contact with anyone. Frantic to get in touch, Betty Cellini, Brice’s smoke jumper mother, calls Smith. He claims they got into an argument and Brice left.

A threat to file a police report angers Smith and his phone then goes unanswered.

By 5:30 p.m. Smith’s car is spotted abandoned and on fire at 59th and Florence Streets in Southwest Philadelphia.

A little over a mile from where Brice’s body was found a week later.

“It’s just tragic. It speaks to the senseless violence that occurs every day out there,” Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said. “And here’s a mother of a 4-year-old child and was expecting her second child, she was four months pregnant, and that child will never see his mother again and her family will never see her daughter again. It’s tragic.”

A source tells Eyewitness News there may be a third person involved in the case.

Eyewitness News is awaiting confirmation from the police.

Smith remains a person of interest. Eyewitness News spoke with his father Wednesday. He says everyone’s stomach is in knots. They have no idea what is going on.

The family has not heard from his son and right now, they are letting detectives do their work.
