DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) – Four people are facing charges after police officers stopped a robbery in progress at a Walgreens in Delaware County. The incident led to one suspect being shot.

The four men — Lorenzo Ross, Derrick Ross, Jonathan Jones and Derrick Stevens — all from Washington D.C. and Virginia, were arraigned after an attempted armed robbery in Delco.

Brookhaven Police swarmed the Walgreens on the 4000 block of Edgemont Avenue around 4:30 a.m. The suspects hopped the counter to the pharmacy and forced an employee to open the safe where the narcotics were stored, while Stevens forced an employee to open the registers in the front of the store.

When police arrived on scene, the four suspects fled to the back of the store. As Jones fled, he grabbed an employee and turned towards the officers. The officer then shot Jones in the arm, believing the employee was in danger.

The four suspects were taken into custody, and Jones is expected to survive.

Some Walgreens regulars are in disbelief.

“It’s shocking, devastating,” customer Ernestine Colder said.

“You come here and you don’t think anything can happen like that, but it can happen. I’m glad nobody was killed,” customer Bill Goodley said.

Customers say it was a shopper who dialed 911.

“Thank God for the customer who was courageous enough to call the police,” Colder said.
Those who find the truth hateful just hate hearing the truth.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste.....on a nigger.

If you're not catching flak, you're not over the target.
