The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating the person in this photo wanted for questioning in connection to the transit fire. NYPD

Cops have identified a man wanted for questioning in connection to a fatal fire in a Harlem subway station on Friday.

The Police Department released a photo of the man but no further information. The NYPD and the MTA are offering a combined $52,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.

MTA train operator Garrett Goble was killed and 16 people were injured when the fire ripped through a 2 train at the 110th Street-Central Park North subway station around 3:15 a.m.

Goble, 36, was found unconscious on the tracks by first responders after the blaze was sparked in the second car of the train.

Police quickly began investigating the incident as an arson.

Sources previously told The Post that cops believe the fire started in a badly burned shopping cart found on the train.

Investigators were also looking into possible links to three other smaller fires that had been set on platforms also along the No. 2 line in Upper Manhattan — at 86th Street, 96th Street and 116th Street, which all started around the same time.

Anyone with information can call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

Tips can also be submitted to the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
