Cops bust man who attacked 7-Eleven worker, called him Chinese ‘motherf—er’

Cops busted a man for an anti-Asian attack of a 7-Eleven worker, police said Wednesday.

Gregory Jacques is accused of slugging the Asian victim before 6 a.m. Saturday inside the Manhattan convenience store at 589 8th Ave. after spewing, “You Chinese motherf—er,” according to cops.

Police caught up to Jacques on Wednesday morning and charged him with assault, reckless endangerment and attempted assault, according to the NYPD.

The store employee had confronted Jacques after he allegedly tried to steal some merchandise.

Cops said the incident was being looked at as a hate crime Sunday but the attacker was not immediately slapped with a hate crime charge.

The attack comes as NYC, as well as the rest of the country, deals with a surge in anti-Asian incidents.

Last month, the NYPD got reports of 34 hate crimes targeting Asians.

Gregory Jacques, 33, is walked out of the Midtown South Precinct by detectives, on April 7, 2021.
