Back in 1999, 13 babies were abandoned in Houston. Three of them were found dead. That same year, 'Safe Haven' legislation became effective, providing a mother with an alternative to abandonment. The law allows a mother to voluntarily deliver a newborn under 30 days of age to a licensed emergency medical services provider without threat of criminal prosecution. That includes hospitals and fire st
tions.
The only reason laws exist is so negroes can break them.

Milwaukee Parents To Stand Trial For Baby's Death

MILWAUKEE -- A couple accused of killing their baby during a struggle over where he should sleep must stand trial on child abuse charges.

Prosecutors said 3-month-old Denzel Davis died of head injuries after his parents engaged in a tug-of-war over which side of their bed the baby would
sleep on.

Brandon Davis (pictured, right), 40, and Annette O'Neal (pictured, below), 38, walked into court to face child abuse charges in the death of their infant son Denzel.

Police said the baby was in bed with his father two weeks ago at the family's south side Milwaukee home when O'Neal went to bed and tried to put the baby on
her side of the bed.

Davis wanted the baby to sleep in the middle, police said.

Police said the parents admitted to pulling the baby back and forth for several minutes and that the madder they got, the more force they used.

Prosecutors decided to charge the parents on child abuse charges instead of homicide.

They are scheduled to be back in court next week to enter pleas.

If convicted, each of them faces up to 3ÃâÅÚ years in prison.

Trevor Brown

Mom's friend accused of boy's murder

CONCORD --Police charged a man Wednesday with first-degree murder in the weekend death of his girlfriend's 22-month-old son.

Trevor Lawrence Brown, 21, of 4018 Concord Pointe Lane, is in the Cabarrus County jail with bond.

Concord Police and emergency medical workers responded around 8 a.m. Sunday to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive baby at Brown's address, a press release said.

The infant, Alexander Johnson Christmas, was pronounced dead at the scene after efforts to revive the him were unsuccessful.

Alexander's mother, Tanya Yvette Johnson,
r
told authorities she called 911 after waking that morning and finding her son unresponsive. Johnson also said the
baby had been vomiting the night before.

An autopsy performed in Charlotte determined that Alexander died because of internal damage to his intestinal tract caused by a traumatic blow to his torso, the press release said.

Authorities arrested Brown, who is not the child's father, at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The investigation is continuing, the press release said, and police wouldn't release further details at this time "to prevent compromise of police efforts and prosecution of the defendant."

Another one bites the dust.

3-Year-Old Dies After Suspected Child Abuse, Authorities Say

EDGECOMBE COUNTY, N.C. -- Authorities have arrested two people in connection with the death of a 3-year-old boy.

The state Medical Examiner said 3-year-old Jaheim Cooper's body shut down because of severe pain that was never treated.

The Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office said Friday that Lawanda Cooper, 19, and her boyfriend, Osborne Bennett, 23, of Mast Lane in Battleboro, were charged with the first-degree murder of Cooper's son, Jaheim Cooper.

According to authorities, an emergency crew transported the boy to Nash General Hospital after Cooper called the sheriff's office sa
ying that her son was not breathing. The child later died at the hospital.

Hospital officials later reported s
igns of child abuse to authorities, who then arrested Cooper and Bennett, according to a statement from the sheriff's office. They are being held at the Edgecombe County Detention Center without bond.

Lawanda Cooper and Osborne Bennett have been charged with the first-degree murder of Cooper's son.

During an interview with Cooper, investigators said they learned that two weeks ago, Bennett had placed the child in a hot tub of water as a punishment, which left him with severe burns on his body.

Cooper said that the child was taken to a hospital but was sent back home. Authorities said they later found that neither Cooper nor Bennett sought any medical attention for the child.

The state medical examiner said Friday that Jaheim's body shut down because of severe pain that was never treated. They say that if it
had been, the boy may have survived.

Jaheim's father, Jamal Wooten, told WRAL that he had not seen his son for several months.

Officers said that the couple also has a 4-month-old child, who was taken into custody by the county's Department of Social Services. Officials are now trying to find out if there was a history of abuse.
