Default Mexican reporter ripped off missing Tom Brady Super Bowl jersey

Video shows how alleged Tom Brady jersey thief pulled it off

The alleged thief of Tom Brady’s Super Bowl jersey left the locker room as casually as can be, the only hint of misconduct being a bag that appears under his left arm.

Fox has released footage of the aftermath of the Patriots’ Super Bowl LI victory that reportedly shows how authorities cracked the case of the missing jersey worth $500,000.

The video led them to Mexico, where Brady’s jersey (and a past Super Bowl jersey) were recovered from a former executive at tabloid Diario La Prensa. The alleged culprit’s name has not been released, but he is believed to be seen in the above video (with his face blurred) snatching the prized jersey.

In the footage, the international media member walks into the locker room with a backpack on his right arm. He then exits with the backpack in tow, but another bag underneath his left arm.

“It was right here. I know exactly where I put it,” Brady said from the Patriots’ locker room after realizing his No. 12 had vanished.
Those who find the truth hateful just hate hearing the truth.

LOOK: Tom Brady once took a picture with alleged Super Bowl jersey thief

The second twist in the case came when a report revealed that the suspect in the jersey heist was actually a member of the international media. The man accused of stealing the jerseys, Mauricio Ortega, was credentialed to cover the Super Bowl through La Prensa, a tabloid in Mexico.

Ortega is apparently a Super Bowl regular because he also has a picture with Ben Roethlisberger (from Super Bowl XLIII) and the Giants’ Brandon Jacobs (Super Bowl XLII).
