An illegal immigrant has been charged in the 2015 murder of prominent Westchester socialite Lois Colley, law-enforcement sources said Monday.

The suspic, identified as Esdras Anibal Marroquin Gomez – an undocumented Guatemalan native who was a former employee at Colley’s sprawling estate – was charged in an indictment unsealed Monday morning at Westchester County Court, sources said.

New York State Police and the FBI were involved in the investigation that led to Gomez’s arrest.

Colley, 83, was murdered in her $25 million hilltop estate, known as Windswept Farm, in North Salem on Nov. 9, 2015.

The suspect worked at Colley’s estate on Titicus Road at the time of her slaying, sources said.

Colley, who was married to Eugene Colley, 89, a multimillionaire McDonald’s franchise owner, was found beaten to death on the laundry-room floor inside the garage at the family’s 300-acre spread.

Cops believed Colley was bludgeoned with a fire extinguisher.

There were no signs of forced entry and no surveillance footage of the homicide.

The socialite was alone when she was killed, and her husband was at his business — The Colley Group in Croton Falls — at the time.

She was found by a caretaker, who immediately called Eugene Colley. Eugene called 911.

Colley was the mother of four sons, including polo-playing playboy Bruce Colley, who made headlines when he had an affair with Kerry Kennedy, leading to the breakup of her marriage to Gov. Andrew Cuomo in 2003.

Gomez was arraigned Monday morning, and the next court date was set for Dec. 7.

He was nursing an injury — and a grudge.

In the weeks before he allegedly bludgeoned a millionairess to death in her Westchester County mansion, the day laborer charged in the murder had been turned down for an injury compensation claim, The Post has learned.

Suspect Esdras Marroquin Gomez, 32, had filed a claim with the state seeking cash for a leg injury suffered while working for cheap bastard victim Lois Colley, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

He apparently limped away without any cash — and within days allegedly bludgeoned Colley, 83, to death with a wine bottle and a small fire extinguisher in the mud room of the Windswept Farm estate in North Salem.

Gomez was immediately suspected in the 2015 murder. But he had fled back to his native Guatemala and was only apprehended this week.

He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Monday.

Colley’s husband, Eugene, made his fortune by acquiring more than 100 McDonald franchises.

Illegal immigrant admits to murdering socialite Lois Colley

An illegal immigrant pleaded guilty Monday to murdering millionaire Westchester socialite Lois Colley, whose playboy son infamously helped break up Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s marriage, officials announced.

Esdras Marroquin Gomez, 34, entered the plea in Westchester County Court more than three years after the 2015 slaying, in which he bludgeoned the 83-year-old to death with a fire extinguisher, according to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino.

“Sending Marroquin Gomez to prison will not bring Lois Colley back but we hope it will bring some closure to her family knowing that justice has been done,” the DA said in a statement.

The Guatemala native, who worked as a laborer on Colley’s 300-acre estate, Windswept Farm, confronted her about a worker’s compensation claim on Nov. 9, 2015, but became enraged and bashed in the socialite’s head.

Colley’s son, Bruce, famously eroded Cuomo’s marriage to political scion Kerry Kennedy when he had an affair with her in 2003.

Gomez hightailed it back to Guatemala shortly after the killing — then fled to Mexico, where he was picked up by authorities in 2017 and eventually extradited to the US.

He faces a maximum of 22 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced June 13, officials said.

Colley’s husband, Eugene, amassed his wealth through an empire of more than 100 McDonald’s franchises.

Illegal immigrant sentenced in murder of Westchester socialite Lois Colley

An illegal immigrant was sentenced to 22 years to life in prison Thursday for murdering millionaire Westchester socialite Lois Colley on her farm, where he had worked as a day laborer.

Esdras Marroquin Gomez, 34, a native of Guatemala, bludgeoned the 83-year-old to death with a fire extinguisher in North Salem on Nov. 15, 2015.

He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last month for bashing the socialite, whose playboy son infamously helped break up Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s marriage, in the head.

Before he was sentenced, prosecutor Julia Cornachio read a letter from Colley’s husband, who was in the courtroom, according to the Journal News/lohud.com.

Eugene Colley, who urged Judge George Fufidio to impose the maximum sentence, wrote that he called his wife by two nicknames: “love of my life” and “honey.”

Cornachio said: “This defendant bashed her face in. The callousness and evil that that required … is incomprehensible.”

It was believed that Gomez went to Windswept Farm, the family’s 300-acre estate, that day looking to be paid over an injury he suffered there a year before.

The victim’s granddaughter, Christine Colley, told the court, “I’m sad, I’m angry and I’m terrified” — and said she would do everything she could to make sure Gomez never sees the light of day again.

Gomez’s lawyer, Cynthia Lobo, told the court that “this is a very sad day,” adding that “there are two grieving families” and that his family is in Guatemala.

“How did this happen?” Lobo said before describing how Gomez grew up in Guatemala with nine siblings and studied to become a pastor before leaving his country in 2006 for the US to make more money for his family.

Gomez became a laborer for the Colley family around 2007 and earned $100 a day, Lobo said.

In 2013, he badly cut his leg in an accident with a chainsaw on the Colley property, she said. After recovering, he tried to return to work, but was told the Colleys didn’t want him anymore, she said.

On the day of the murder, Gomez went to the farm to speak to Eugene Colley, not with the intention of killing the man’s wife, Lobo said.

But he “went out of control” on a “hideous day,” she added.

Four days later, Gomez caught a flight from JFK Airport to Guatemala. He was tracked to Mexico the following year and when he was deported to Guatemala, his flight stopped in Miami, where he was arrested by the FBI.

Colley’s son, Bruce, famously eroded Cuomo’s marriage to political scion Kerry Kennedy when he had an affair with her in 2003.

Eugene Colley amassed his wealth through an empire of more than 100 McDonald’s franchises.
