Police seek help ID'ing suspect from downtown shooting that left five injured
Tuesday, June 30th 2020

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect from a shooting last week in Downtown Austin that injured five people.

The incident happened Sunday, June 21, at around 3 a.m. near the intersection of East 7th St. and Neches St.

Investigators with the Austin Police Department said the suspect, pictured above, approached a large group of people and opened fire.

Video surveillance footage from the scene indicates there were a large number of witnesses at the time of the shooting, APD said.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his 20s, 5'10, 130 lbs, with a medium skin tone, and thin build. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and black shorts.
