A Marin County sex offender was arrested on allegations of killing a driver in an intoxicated crash.

Dominik Oshay Cash, 27, of Sacramento remained in custody at the Yuba County Jail on Tuesday in lieu of $1 million bail.

The crash happened at about 11:15 p.m. Friday on Highway 70 in Marysville. Cash was driving south at more than 100 mph and weaving over the double yellow line, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Cash drove through a red light and crashed into the side of a car going through the intersection, the CHP said. The impact killed the other driver, Dawn Ritter, 55, of Marysville.

The Yuba County District Attorney’s Office filed eight counts against Cash on Tuesday, including murder, intoxicated driving, reckless evasion and hit-and-run driving. He was arraigned Tuesday afternoon, assigned to a public defender and pleaded not guilty.

Cash has a lengthy criminal record. In 2019, he pleaded guilty to rubbing against a 16-year-old girl and exposing himself to her in the cosmetics aisle of the Rite Aid at Corte Madera Town Center.

Cash, then a resident of the East Bay city of Oakley, also pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol from the Rite Aid and Safeway stores in Mill Valley and Corte Madera. The alcohol was valued at more than $1,500.
