Marissa Rundell and her eight-month-old son Mason were on a Delta flight from New York on February 6 when Susan Peirez started 'throwing a tantrum' over having to sit next to them

Susan Peirez, 53, was suspended from her New York government job last week after the footage of her on a Delta yelling at the mother and a flight attendant went viral

'She was the last one to get on the plane and I was in the second to last row of the plane,' Rundell said.

'She came to the back and slammed her bags down. She said 'this is f***ing ridiculous. It's bulls**t having to sit in the back of the plane'.'

The mother said she asked Peirez to stop swearing around her son but Peirez 'completely ignored' her and continued to complain.

'I said again please watch your language she told me to shut the f**k up and shove it,' she said.

'That's when the flight attendant came over and asked what the problem was.'

The footage filmed by Rundell shows the moment the flight attendant came and attempted to diffuse the situation.

Peirez demanded a new seat but the flight attendant told her to sit down.

'You were screaming at a woman and her baby,' the flight attendant told her.

The disgruntled passenger demanded to know the flight attendant's name, before saying: 'Thank you Tabitha, you may not have a job, tomorrow.'

Peirez was eventually escorted off the flight.

Rundell said Peirez repeatedly mentioned that she worked for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

After the footage went viral, Peirez was immediately suspended from her job with the New York State Council of the Arts.

She has been placed on leave indefinitely while the office investigates.

USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education

USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education, formerly Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making audio-visual interviews with survivors and witnesses of the Holocaust and other genocides a compelling voice for education and action.[6] It was established by Steven Spielberg in 1994, one year after completing his Academy Award-winning film Schindler's List. The original aim of the Institute was to record testimonies of survivors and other witnesses of the Holocaust (which in Hebrew is called the Shoah) as a collection of videotaped interviews.

In January 2006, the Foundation partnered with and relocated to the University of Southern California and was renamed the USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education.
