A United Nations worker was arrested for sexually abusing an Italian teenager who was visiting the Big Apple for a class trip, police sources told The Post.

The 17-year-old victim was inside his hotel room at the Hilton Hotel on Sixth Avenue near West 53rd Street around 6:30 p.m. Friday when stranger Gregory Connor, 46, allegedly approached him in the hotelís hallway and asked if he could use the teenís iPhone charger, police said.

The teenager said yes, walked with him into his hotel room and allowed him to use his charger.

Thatís when police said Connor started to take his shirt off and began touching the victimís chest. He then groped the victimís groin over his pants before leaving a few minutes later.

A second 17-year-old was in the hotel room at the time and witnessed the encounter, police said.

Connor returned to the room shortly thereafter to get his bag, cops added.

Hotel security called 911 around 9 p.m. after the teenís teacher and chaperone notified them of the assault, sources added.

Connor, who has an Upper West Side address, was arrested hours later, around 1:30 a.m., while still at the hotel. He was charged with forcible touching of intimate parts, and released without bail following an arraignment later Saturday, court records show.

Connor works as a coordination specialist for the United Nations Development Programme, which seeks the ďeradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion ,Ē according to its website.

He does not have diplomatic immunity, sources said.

A rep for the UNDP said the group was speaking with police about the incident.

ďUNDP is aware of these allegations, has been in touch with the relevant US authorities and is actively following up on the matter,Ē a spokesperson told the Post.

Connorís lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment.

This was Connorís first arrest by the NYPD, cops said.
