Four people were injured in two separate Brooklyn shootings early Sunday less than an hour apart in a neighborhood that has seen shootings nearly double this year.

In the first incident, a 29-year-old man was shot four times three times in the right forearm and once in the hip on Williams Avenue near Atlantic Avenue just after 3:40 a.m., according to police.

A 19-year-old woman was also hit in the leg by gunfire, according to police.

EMS transported the man to Brookdale Hospital and the woman to Kings County Hospital, where both were stable, cops said.

The shooting was triggered by an unknown dispute, police said. The gunman fled on foot down Williams Avenue, cops said.

About 40 minutes later, a 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were shot outside 717 Atkins Avenue about two miles from the first shooting, according to police.

The man was shot in the left foot and the woman in the right calf, police said.

It was unclear what sparked the gunfire.

The man was taken to Brookdale Hospital by EMS, and the woman checked herself into Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, according to the NYPD. Both were listed as stable Sunday morning.

The shootings were not believed to be connected.

East New York has had a 94 % increase in shootings compared to last year, according to the most recent crime data. The Brooklyn neighborhood has recorded the most shootings in the city through Aug. 3.

Citywide shootings were up more than 5 % from last year between Jan. 1 and July 31, city officials said last week.
Those who find the truth hateful just hate hearing the truth.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste.....on a nigger.

If you're not catching flak, you're not over the target.
