Washington is accused of raping and strangling 23-year-old Maria Ezquerro on Nov. 27, 2018, according to court records. She was found dead in her apartment in the 5400 block of Peterson Lane, not far from where Washington lived.

He is accused in four rapes in Dallas and two in Louisiana, police have said. Most of the victims were women in their 20s, according to police.

In each of the Dallas rape cases, the attacker knocked on the victim’s door, then sexually assaulted the women after forcing his way inside and brandishing a weapon.

At the time of the attacks, Washington was 15.

Detectives said at the adult certification hearing that Washington approached Ezquerro at The Verge apartments in Far North Dallas and asked her to order him an Uber. He asked to go inside, saying he was cold, police said.
