An NYPD officer was arrested for domestic-violence charges in Washington, DC — during the annual Police Week, cops said Monday.

Christopher Rivera, 34, was charged with simple assault for grabbing his girlfriend around the neck and pushing her against the wall around 4 a.m. Sunday, DC police said.

Officers responded to a call for a domestic-violence assault at 736 6th St. NW and arrested Rivera, who is with the NYPD’s Highway Patrol unit, for assaulting his girlfriend, cops said. He was immediately suspended, a NYPD source said.
