Knife-wielding man at large after injuring 3 patrons inside Placer County Library

AUBURN, Calif. (KTXL) Auburn police say three men were wounded Tuesday afternoon in a knife attack inside the Placer County Library.

At around 1:40 p.m., two patrons inside the library were stabbed by an attacker who had a knife, according to police. A third patron was hurt when they tried to stop the attack.

All three victims have been hospitalized but Auburn police have not provided details about their injuries.

Police say they are still searching for the assailant who witnesses saw running from the library before disappearing.

The attacker has been described by police as a black man between 20 and 30 years old. He is around 6 feet, 3 inches to 6 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs just under 200 pounds. At the time, he was wearing a black, zip-up sweatshirt, a black shirt, black shorts and black shoes.
