JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) - Two men wanted on first-degree murder charges in the killings of are Walter Joseph Gotreaux and Darlene Cecelia Gotreaux should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities with the Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office said at a news conference Friday afternoon.

Commander Ramby Cormier says warrants have been issued for Javari Guidry and Jordan Legros on two counts each of first-degree murder and one count each of aggravated burglary.

Cormier said the motive appears to be robbery. Deputies have collected statements and evidence that link the two men to the crime scene, he said. The suspects were connected to the victims through associates and had contact with people close to the victims.

Cormier says the men may still be traveling together, either in Southwest Louisiana or the Houston area. The suspects are known to drive a silver car but authorities are still working to determine the make and model.

Guidry has a tattoo over his left eye that makes him identifiable.

The two men are considered dangerous, anyone who knows their whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement.

Both suspects have violent criminal histories.
