A millennial gamer, who claims she agreed to traffic 14 kilos of cocaine into the US to help her family make ends meet after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, was sentenced Friday to 18 months in prison.

Nicole Lorenzo Cortez, 20, sobbed as she told Brooklyn federal court judge Carol Amon she regretted her actions and was just trying to make her parents “proud” of her.

“I wish I could go back and have someone tell me not to do what I did,” the competitive Fortnite player said of the drug trafficking, which only would have netted her $4,000. “I regret this so much.”

Defense attorney Allegre Glashausser said Cortez had been desperate following the Sept. 20, 2017, hurricane, which left her mother jobless and the young woman also unable to find work.

The attorney also noted in court papers that her client is considered one of the best competitive female video game players in Puerto Rico.

“A lot of people in Puerto Rico had the same problems that she and her family had, but they didn’t resort to importing 14 kilograms of cocaine into the United States,” Amon said tersely before imposing the sentence.

Cortez – who plays under the handle EmphyZ on the site Twitch – was nabbed in January, after she flew through JFK with two checked bags containing the drugs.

She was caught by feds because another smuggler, busted a month earlier, had been carrying a phone that included her information and a photo of her driver’s license.

Glashausser declined to comment on Cortez’s behalf, who left the courtroom crying and holding hands with her mother.

She’ll remain out on $100,000 bond, until she surrenders to the federal Bureau of Prisons on Oct. 19.

A popular game, Fortnite consists of 100 players battling to become the final surviving person on a rapidly shrinking island.
