A man was arrested in Brooklyn on Friday in connection with the fatal shooting of a 12-year-old girl in South Carolina last week, police said.

Michael Christian Barclay, 31, of Timmonsville, SC, was busted by authorities with the Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Secret Service in the Brownsville section, law-enforcement sources and cops said.

Barclay was picked up inside NYCHA’s Howard Houses after authorities received a tip that he was there, sources said. The NYPD said Barclay was arrested on a warrant at 12:40 a.m.

Barclay was charged with murder for the shooting of Fantasia Shyann Jackson, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina.

Timmonsville officials allege that Barclay shot the young girl Aug. 25 in Timmonsville as she was running for cover during gunfire.

Barclay will be extradited back to Florence County from New York, officials said.

Investigators have also arrested two others in the case – Demonta Kabora Hickson, 24, of Timmonsville and Jimmy Lee Hampton Jr., 28, of Florence.

Hickson and Hampton Jr. were also charged with murder, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

Jackson’s cousin, Shkira Graham, previously told ABC-affiliate WPDE-TV of the victim: “She was a nice girl. She always smiled.”

Another cousin, Tony Gee, told the news outlet: “Loving person. Everybody loved her.”

Fambly members told WPDE-TV that the young girl had just got dropped off after being at a fair with her cousins when a car drove by and someone started shooting.
