Suspect in rape of male UMSL student had been arrested for similar crime at Kansas frat house

A man charged with sexually assaulting a male University of Missouri-St. Louis student at gunpoint earlier this month was charged with a similar crime at a Kansas State University fraternity house in September.

Devonta Bagley, of the Kansas City area, was charged with sodomy, armed criminal action and burglary after St. Louis County police say he sexually assaulted an 18-year-old University of Missouri-St. Louis student inside an on-campus apartment.

Authorities in Riley County, Kan., say Devonta Bagley sexually assaulted a 20-year-old man inside the Sigma Chi fraternity house on Sept. 9. Prosecutors charged Bagley, 23, of Belton, Mo., with one count of aggravated sodomy and one count of aggravated burglary.

The victim was "unconscious or physically powerless" at the time of the sexual assault, according to court documents.
