Even Spider-Man and Professor X need saving sometimes.

Police nabbed a crook who allegedly stole two rare and pricey comic books from a Brooklyn stoop last month.

Cops say comic rustler Kenneth Gaynor strolled up to the porch of a Windsor Terrace residence around 1:45 p.m. Aug. 28, rifled through some packages, and swiped an Amazing Spider-Man No. 1 worth $11,000 and an X-Men No. 1 worth $1,500.

He was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of criminal possession of stolen property, officials said.

BAYONNE -- A Jersey City man with a history of swiping packages from outside homes has struck again, and again, and again:rolleyes:, authorities said.

Damion Baker, 48, has been charged with nine counts of theft for stealing packages from different addresses in Bayonne over the past two weeks, Bayonne Police Lt. Timothy Wilgus said.

A resident on East 35th Street caught Baker stealing a package off their front porch on Saturday and called police. He ran from the home when the owner confronted him, but police arrested him a short time late, Wilgus said.
