Police busted the parents of a 10-month-old girl who died in a bathtub inside their Brooklyn apartment five months ago, authorities said on Friday.

Roxanne and Daniel Hernandez, were charged Thursday with acting in a manner injurious to a child and reckless endangerment, police said.

Authorities accuse Roxanne Hernandez, 24, of leaving baby Meilani alone in the tub in their Red Hook apartment on Henry Street near West 9th Street on Nov. 6 around 8:30 p.m.

At some point, Daniel Hernandez, 21, went to check on the child, and saw she was unconscious, police said.

“Everyone heard the father screaming for help when they saw the baby had turned over in the tub,” recalled one neighbor. “The father ran up and down the hallway screaming, asking for help. Neighbors across the hall tried to help with CPR but it was too late.”

EMS workers treated the tot on scene and rushed her to Methodist Hospital — but she could not be saved.

Meilani’s death was ruled a homicide last month, and the cause of death was determined to be drowning, according to a spokeswoman for the city Medical Examiner’s office.

“It was such a tragedy, so no one wanted to blame the parents,” said another neighbor.

Meilani’s father has five prior arrests, four of which are sealed, police sources said. On Sept. 27, cops stopped him in Williamsburg when he failed to use a turn signal. He displayed a fraudulent shield to the officers, who also found an air pistol in his car, according to the sources.

Her mother does not have a criminal record, the sources added.
