Military academy athlete, 16, accused of sexual assault at gunpoint

A judge Saturday set bail at $600,000 for a 16-year-old boy accused of sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint last month in Humboldt Park.

Dimeyon Cole, of the 3200 block of West Walnut Street, is charged as an adult with aggravated criminal sexual assault with a firearm, a class X felony, prosecutors said.

“These allegations are brutal,’’ said Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil before setting the bail for the Phoenix Military Academy student, who is on the Near West Side school’s football and basketball teams.

The 23-year-old victim and her 30-year-old boyfriend were seated inside a car, warming it up before he drove her to work about 3:50 a.m. on Dec. 14 in the 2700 block of West Crystal Street, prosecutors said.
