UPDATE: Suspect ID'd in WM pizza delivery robbery

The West Monroe Police Department has identified a suspect in the Thursday night armed robbery and kidnapping of a pizza delivery man.

A second suspect in the robbery died at the scene after he was shot by the victim in the incident.:D

The WMPD has obtained a warrant for Joshua D. Donson on the charges of armed robbery, second degree kidnapping, criminal conspiracy and second degree murder.

According to WMPD detectives, the suspects ordered a pizza from Dominoes for delivery to the area of North Eighth Street and Haynes around 9 p.m Thursday. The driver reported when he arrived at the location, a vacant home, two men robbed him.

He was then forced to drive the suspects in his car. After the suspects attempted to make him exit the vehicle, he defended himself with a firearm stored in the car. One suspect was fatally shot. Donson fled the scene on foot.

Donson had been serving weekends at Ouachita Correctional Center for the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver on Tanglewood Drive in Monroe.

This investigation follows a Wednesday night robbery of a Pizza Hut delivery woman in Farmerville. This driver was also provided with an address for a vacant home. Upon arrival, she was robbed.

A delivery driver reported she was robbed by two black men armed with a knife.
