A reward is now being offered for information leading to the identity, arrest and conviction of a man who raped a University of Alabama student at gunpoint following the Iron Bowl.

The governor's office today announced a $5,000 reward in the case, said Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit Capt. Gary Hood. The attack happened Nov. 27 at the student's townhome on Convent Street, which is several blocks southwest of the campus and an area popular among students for off-campus housing.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid-20s. He is at least 6-feet tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and dark-colored pants.
