18-Year-Old Charged in Fatal Shooting of Cab Driver in CWE

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – An 18-year-old has been charged in the September shooting death of a cab driver in the Central West End.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s office has charged Shakur Ellis with second-degree murder, robbery and two counts of armed criminal action.

A judge has issued a $250,000 cash-only bond.

The body of Timothy Grice, 38, was found in his cab in the 4900 block of Laclede at 10 o’clock in the morning after someone reported the vehicle had been sitting there for sometime.

Grice had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
