Nicquan Midgyett, 19, is now booked into the Johnson County Jail on first-degree murder charges. Londro E. Patterson, 20, and De'Anthony A. Wiley, 19, still remained hospitalized. Each has a bond of $500,000. Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe charged Midgyett and three other men in the death of Jon Bieker who was killed when three gunmen burst into his gun store in downtown Shawnee. Bieker's wife, Becky Bieker, was punched in the face but has been released from the hospital. Hakeem W. Malik, 18, appeared before a Johnson County judge on Monday. He requested a court-appointed attorney during his brief court appearance. Malik was the only suspect not shot during Friday's botched robbery. Authorities said they believe he was the getaway driver and was waiting outside. Howe said anyone who aids someone else in commission of a crime "is equally as guilty." - (Black-on-white (http://www.newnation.org/NNN-Black-on-White.html))
