A Dallas woman was arrested this week after using crack cocaine, stripping nude and spraying paramedics and police with spittle when they tried to restrain her, authorities say.

Lacresha Craig, 27, was booked into the Dallas County Jail on four counts of harassment of a public servant, according to jail records.

Police were called to the 2800 block of Holmes Street about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday after Dallas paramedics called for help treating an unruly patient.

Officers found Craig lying "on her back butt naked" beside the street, according to police records. She was masturbating but stopped when she saw the officers approach, the records say.

Craig was placed in handcuffs because she continued to scream unintelligibly and flail her arms, police say. Paramedics said they called police because she kept spitting on them. At one point she admitted to police that she had used crack cocaine earlier in the day.

To stop the spitting, paramedics placed a mask over her mouth, but Craig worked it free and spit into the mouth of one officer, according to her arrest warrant affidavit.

A spit hood was placed over her head, and she was taken to Baylor University Medical Center.

Hospital staff told police she'd been there before and had tested positive for HIV, a disease spread through bodily fluids but not through saliva, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
