View Full Version : Negro Attempts to Rape Woman at Knifepoint in Bed-Stuy: NYPD

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN A 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at knifepoint by a man who tried to rape her in an alleyway off Atlantic Avenue between 19 Louis Place and 19A Louis Place at 6 a.m. Sunday, according to the NYPD.

Police are seeking your help to locate the attacker. He was still at large Friday afternoon.

"The suspect ran past the 24-year-old female victim then turned toward her with a knife and told her to follow him. The suspect took the victim to an alley way in between 19 Louis Place and 19A Louis Place where he pulled down her pants and licked her. Afterward he turned her around and fondled her breasts and buttocks. The suspect then took her cell phone and fled in an unknown direction," police said.

The NYPD is seeking the suspect pictured above, who is believed to be a black man between 30 and 40 years old, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-7 and about 190 pounds.

The 81st precinct, which patrols Bed-Stuy, hasn't seen a significant year-to-date increase in reported rape, according to NYPD crime statistics. The same can't be said for Bushwick which has seen a 30 percent increase in reported rape compared to the same time period last year.
