DALLAS -- Laquantis Davis was a stand out on the football field at Lake Highlands High School. The star safety had his sights set on one day playing college ball.

Last week, however, Dallas police arrested the 18-year-old for sexual assault of a child for an alleged rape involving a 15-year-old girl who also attended Lake Highlands High on the school's athletic fields.

In court documents obtained by News 8, Davis, a senior, told police he and the victim skipped class and headed out to baseball fields. He reportedly told police he asked the victim to have sex, but she resisted.

"The suspect admitted to chasing the complainant, grabbing her and pushing her to the ground," the documents say.

Police say Davis then forced her to have sex.
