A 10th victim has surfaced in the case of Fort Lauderdale youth mentor Jeffery London, who is accused of molesting boys for more than a decade.

London, 48, has been charged with sexual assault on a victim under 12 years old.

During a Wednesday court hearing it was ordered that he continue to be held without bond.

London has been in the Broward County jail since Jan. 25, when he was first charged. He now faces 44 counts of various molestation charges.

The Broward County State Attorney's Office offered no further detail on the latest case, citing the ongoing investigation.

London's alleged victims were usually boys who came from financially strapped families who entrusted London to care for them.

The alleged sexual abuse occurred in London's Lauderdale Lakes home, where many of the boys lived for extended periods of time. They allegedly performed sex acts for privileges or money, prosecutors say.

Lawyer wants investigation of Broward pastor's death while serving life in prison for child sex case

Jeffery London, the former South Florida youth pastor and charter school official who was sentenced to life for a child sex abuse conviction seven months ago, has died painfully :Dand unnecessarily as a result of "medical neglect" in federal prison, one of his lawyers said Tuesday.

London, 52, formerly of Broward County, died March 29 at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, western Missouri, the U.S. Bureau of Prisons confirmed Tuesday.

London had been locked up for the last four years fighting state and federal allegations that he sexually abused underage boys he met at his church, the school, youth groups and an informal foster home that he ran. He called it London's Hotel and said there was always room for another child there.

A dozen boys told investigators he used gifts, intimidation and his status as an upstanding, religious man in the community to harm them and keep them from reporting what he did to them.
