BELLAIRE, Texas - A teen employee was shot and killed during a robbery at a pizza shop in Bellaire Sunday.

According to officials, just before 9:30 p.m., police received a 911 call about a robbery at the Reginelli's Pizzeria on Bissonnet. According to detectives, an armed man entered the restaurant demanding cash. Investigators said the teen, who co-workers identified as 19-year-old Peter Mielke, was the only employee in the dining room area of the restaurant at the time of the robbery. Police said Mielke complied with the robber's orders but he opened fire, shooting the teen worker several times, killing him.

Other employees who were in the back of the pizza shop were not hurt.

Officials describe the gunman as a tall, slim, African American man. He entered the restaurant alone but investigators believe someone may have been driving the getaway car.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance video from the scene and hope evidence will lead to an arrest.

HOUSTON - A man has been charged with capital murder in connection with a fatal robbery at a Bellaire pizzeria.

The Harris County District Attorney says that Kiara Elijahjuan Taylor, 26, has been formally charged in the murder of 19-year-old Peter Mielke.

Police say Mielke was shot multiple times by the suspect, who barged into the Reginelli's Pizzera at Bissonnet and Bellaire around 9:30 p.m. on February 21.

The robber demanded money but Mielke wasn't able to open the cash register so the robber shot him.
