Meghan McCorkell with more on the heinous incident that unfolded in White Marsh.

Police say what started as a fight between coworkers ended with two people set on fire.

Emergency vehicles rush to Route 40 in White Marsh around 4:30 p.m. Friday after police receive a call for two people engulfed in flames.

Investigators say four men left work at a local business in two different cars. When one car broke down, the four walked to a nearby has station for fuel. As they were walking back, they started arguing.

That’s when police say two of the men poured gasoline on the two victims and lit them on fire on the side of the road, leaving them with critical burns.

“Right now, we’re not sure of the amount of injuries the victims have suffered. We have determined, according to detectives, that about 90 percent of one of the victim’s bodies has been burned. It’s so bad that all of his clothing was burned off his body,” said Cpl. Shawn Vinson, Baltimore County Police Department.

Both of the suspects ran from the area. One has been arrested. The other is still on the run.

Both victims are being treated at a local hospital.

Suspect Charged After Police Say He Set Co-Workers On Fire
December 5, 2015 11:05 PM

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)– Two people remain hospitalized with serious burns after police say their co-worker doused them with gasoline and lit them on fire.

The gruesome crime happened in White Marsh. The suspect is under arrest but the investigation continues.

Burned asphalt and charred grass mark the spot where police say Christopher Harrison Jr. set two men on fire.

Police were called to Route 40 in White Marsh just before 5 o’clock Friday evening. They found the victims running frantically down the road, calling out for help.

Investigators say four men left work at a local business in two different cars. When one car broke down, the co-workers went to the White Marsh truck stop for fuel. As they were walking back, they started arguing and fighting.

“During the fight. Our suspect pour gasoline on at least 2 of the men and then lights them on fire,” police said.

A store clerk that wants to remain anonymous tells WJZ he turned away a suspect because he did not have the right gas can. Somehow he still managed to get some fuel that was then used to set the two men on fire.

Police arrested Harrison after getting a tip. The 28-year-old from Edgewood is charged with attempted first degree murder–first and second degree assault.

Friends tell WJZ they’ve started a GoFund Me page for victim, David Campbell.

“One victim was burned over 60 percent of his body. The second victim over 90 percent of his body to the point where his clothing was completely burned off of him.”

“That is terrible. It went too far. I don’t know what the issue was, but it obviously went too far. It’s not the time for that. It’s never the time for that,” said Felicia Jerome.

The fourth man involved in the fight is not considered a suspect. Both victims are in critical condition at an area hospital.

Investigators are still trying to determine what led up to the fight.

There is graphic cell phone video of this incident circulating on social media. WJZ chose not to show it due to the nature of the video. Police do confirm its authenticity and say it will be used as evidence in their investigation.

A niggr poured gasoline on two white co-workers and set them on fire in White Marsh Friday night, Baltimore County police said.

Christopher Harrison Jr., 28, of the 900 block Top View Dr. in Edgewood has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, police spokesman Cpl. Shawn Vinson said.

The victims, two men, were taken to a local hospital with major burn injuries, police said. Both were in critical condition, Vinson said Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred along Route 40 near Allender Road, Vinson said.

He said he did not know where they worked together.

The cause of the dispute remained unclear, Vinson said.

Detectives have determined that a fourth person sought by police Friday night is not a suspect and will not face charges, Vinson said.

Harrison is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. He could not be reached for comment, and did not have an attorney listed in online court records.
