Augusta, Ga. (WRDW) -- A man accused in a shooting on Cunningham Drive will appear in court Wednesday facing upgraded murder charges.

Shanadore Harmon, 46, is scheduled to appear in a Richmond County courtroom at 2 pm Wednesday.

The new court appearance comes after the victim, Brittany Trantham, died in the hospital two days after the shooting on Saturday.

Augusta, Ga. (WRDW) -- Following the death of Brittany Trantham, Shanadore Harmon now faces an additional murder charge, according to the Richmond County jail. A separate court appearance will be scheduled for the new charge.

UPDATE: 4:10 p.m.

Augusta, Ga. (WRDW) -- A man faces a judge for the first time today after being arrested for a weekend shooting.

Shanadore Harmon, 46, made his first appearance in Richmond County Magistrate Court. Today's hearing is only for the charges including two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and posessions of a gun during a crime associated with the shooting Saturday.

So far, deputies have not charged Harman with Brittany Trantham's, 21, death. According to Richmond County Chief Deputy Coroner Kenneth Boose, Trantham died as a result of injuries received during the shooting.

UPDATE: 6:48 a.m.

Richmond County Chief Deputy Coroner Kenneth Boose says the victim of a shooting on Cunningham Drive on Saturday has died.

He said Brittany Trantham, 21, died early this morning as a result of her injuries from the shooting. An autopsy is scheduled for sometime this week at the crime lab in Atlanta.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Richmond County deputies are investigating a shooting on the 2400 Block of Cunningham Drive.

Crews responded around 3:00 Saturday morning to a call about an argument with shots fired. Investigators found 46-year-old Shanadore Harmon trying to hide under a tree. :pDeputies took Harmon into custody and found a handgun underneath him. They also reportedly found cartridge casings in the road.

Shortly after, deputies responded to the GRU Emergency Room for a gunshot victim. The victim, 21-year-old Brittany Trantham, is in critical condition.

Investigators determined the two calls were connected. Another victim, 28-year-old Jermaz Lawson, is also connected to the shooting. Deputies say Lawson and Harmon are cousins and the two had been fighting.

Reportedly, the fight escalated and Harmon shot at the vehicle Lawson and Tratham were riding in.

Harmon is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
