HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A grand jury just indicted four people accused of kidnapping a Hanover man while holding his family at gunpoint. Investigators say the motive was robbery.

Tyvon Montrey Spencer, Brittany Nicole Bailey, Bryson Jerrell Marshman and Darius Stephon Taylor are all in jail charged with allegedly spear-heading the scary plot. Court records show that on June 8, the suspects showed up at the man’s home. They allegedly held his girlfriend and children at gunpoint then abducted him.

Sources say the suspects drove the man to his business, an auto shop in Ashland, then allegedly took a shotgun, a credit card and cash.

Hanover Sheriff’s investigators say on the way back to the victim’s home, the plan went awry and someone called 911. Detectives emphasize that this was not a random abduction. They maintain the suspects targeted their victim.

Now all four face a slew of felony charges including robbery, abduction and the use of a firearm during a felony. They go to court on the case in January.
